Southwest
Fly Fishing
The
Animas has been floatable since February making for fantastic winter
and early spring fishing. The Juan has also been fishing
well
and we look
forward to increased flows on this fishery this year. Mid March through
April will offer great fishing opportunities on the Animas and upper
San Juan before the run-off season in May muddies area waters for
a couple
weeks.
The Animas, San Juan, upper San
Juan, Dolores and lakes are going to be a blast this early
spring. Our upper
San Juan trips will start as soon as flows will allow. Early
June will mark the start of the Salmon Fly
hatch and our action packed Rio Grande trips around Creede,
CO. This
is a reminder for all of you to get your dates on the calendar
for these trips. Click the link to our
site for more info. Animas

New-Hosted
Adventure Travel!
We are extremely
excited to offer two premier fly fishing destinations
to our friends and clients.
One
adventure offers casting to monstrous steelhead
in British Columbia on the Babine River and the other;
wading shin deep in the warm tropical waters of Mexico
at Casa Blanca Lodge casting to Bonefish, Tarpon and
Permit.
We can set up hosted and
non-hosted trips for solo anglers, fishing partners, groups
and
even families. Hosted trips are a lot of fun for us guides
because we'll be
on the
adventure
with
you. If your schedule is too busy
for one of our hosted weeks, but you would like to experience
one of these great destinations, we can set it up for you.
We'll help with gear needs, transportation and other
details to ensure the perfect trip. There are
set dates for the hosted trips and they will be posted on our
destination page.
Send us an e-mail or call (1-970-259-0484) for details and
openings for these special
trips. |

A
big thanks
to all
our
latest friends and clients who made it out over the past couple months.
We have had some truly fantastic late winter and early spring
fly fishing. Thanks Bob Meade of Casa Blanca Lodge, it was a pleasure
to float the Animas with you. Also a special thanks to Dave Herbert
and crew for three great days of
angling.
Kudos for their patience
on their
questionable air travels.
Travel
arrangements
may have been a mess, but at least Will and Chris kept the boats
upright and the fish on line. It is a good thing the airlines are
not responsible for the boats and trout. Thanks Dave, Keith, Dell
and
Tony. Thanks
to you all, what a great start to our season!
That's
Right Folks...A Newsletter!
With
all the hungry trout being caught this spring and all the
new excitement brewing here at AvA, we thought we'd go ahead
and
make the effort to keep up with our friends and fatihfuls.
So what better way to share news, fishing stories and new
photos than a monthly newsletter? We certainly like to hear what's
going on in your world's while we're out on the water, so
we're
going to try and send out a little something each month so
you can see what we've been up to. Hopefully these monthly
snippets won't be too much of a distraction, but should you
find that
we're clogging your in-box with unwanted fishing blogs, type
us at e-mail message and
we'll take you off the list. This is a new venture for us
so any feedback on the newsletter
will be much appreciated. We
hope this finds you all well and anxiously awaiting the up-coming
season.
Cheers,
Chris, Will, Josh, Marc, Rick, Ralph and Tim
